Tips For Using This Bit: The depth of rabbet is equal to the distance between the bearing and the bit's cutting edge. Change the bearing size to change the depth of rabbet. To make wider rabbets, remove the bearing and use an edge guide or fence. To minimize tear-out and chip-out, make a shallow first pass, followed by a deeper second pass.
